If your patient is experiencing emotional, social and/or physical difficulty with a life circumstance, make a referral to Aspire Counseling. Our experienced and licensed mental health professionals provide therapy for various challenges in life. Communication and Consultation with Referring Providers

We believe strongly in communicating with all professionals involved with the care of our clients. With our clients’ consent, we will maintain contact with you to ensure you are apprised of your patient’s progress. We welcome your questions or concerns about your patients Our consulting psychiatrist is also available for our clients to provide medication assessment and management. In addition, we routinely provide consultation to providers who seek assistance in identifying needed resources for their patients with mental and/or behavioral health conditions.

Consultation we offer includes:

  •   Providing screening tools for determining severity of presenting symptoms
  •   Performing crisis consultation with patients to assess immediate treatment needs
    •   Developing and monitoring a safety plan
    •   Refering for substance abuse evaluation/treatment
    •   Refering to a higher level of care
  •   Conducting an initial diagnostic assessment to determine recommendations for ongoing treatment
  •   Scheduling or referring for a medication evaluation
  •   Scheduling or referring for psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluation
  •   Initiating short-term, focused treatment on a trial basis
  •   Providing regular maintenance therapeutic sessions
  •   Offering advocacy services in schools and/or workplaces

We increase our reach to those in need through our specialty programs, which have been developed through partnerships and close collaborations with local service providers. Aspire Counseling has a 25 year history of developing partnerships to offer cutting edge mental health programs. Our current partnerships involve:
  •   Providing mental health therapy at Mobile Medical Care primary care clinics;
  •   Liaising with County services who work with at risk women to broaden our reach for the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies program (Maternity Partnership Program, Infants and Toddlers, Healthy Families Montgomery; Silver Spring Community Health Clinic; Crisis Center and Women Infants and Children (WIC); and
  •   Joining forces with the Rockville Senior Center and ‘The Oaks at Olde Towne’ and in Gaithersburg to provide Positive Aging services.

Our AMIGO project was the first school-based mental health program in Montgomery County, a concept later adopted by the County and now available in many schools through the Linkages to Learning program
